In 1988, Jimmy Lee Swaggart was arguably America's most famous preacher. Then came the exposure that he was consorting with "low-priced" hookers. He was suspended for a year by the religious organization (AOG) that had originally ordained him. I don't know if he ever sought reinstatement; but, his ministry was greatly diminished as a result. Can you believe anything he says? If he said, "the sky is blue," would you agree/disagree? Why?

Yes, I'd agree, because the sky IS blue.
No, the sky is only blue from our earthly perspective. Define "sky".
I'd agree simply because this godly man said it.
I'd disagree, solely because it came from this dirtbag's lips.

Anyone can speak truisms. Just because I agree with one thing a guy says doesn't make me his admirer; and, I have witnessed that when one HATES a thing "too much" he/she starts to BECOME like the thing they HATE. No obsession here.

FYI, He never named his actual "sin". I think maybe his lawyer helped him out on that particular sermon.
