IF YOU HAVE NO FAITH IN GOD, WILL YOU FEEL BETRAYED IF ...

[+] ballot by thesoothsayer
created Sun Jan 14, 07

...in fact there is one and "He" has no faith in you ? Suppose this is just a test to see who is worthy of the next level...

I will feel betrayed
I will not feel betrayed
I will accept my fate
I will ask for a second chance
I will be angry at him
I will be angry at myself
I really don't know
I would feel betrayed by myself

COMMENTS:
Voted : I will accept my fate
Given that I neither believe nor disbelieve its difficult to answer, I guess I would just accept my fate.

Maybe, if I sincerely apologized.

Voted : I will not feel betrayed
I wouldn't feel betrayed, even though He is supposedly omnipotent and benevolent in every fiber of His being and I am definitely nothing of the sort, relying only on the senses and abilities He gave me to reach conclusions about reality and His role in it.

The problems of the world today do seem awfully cruel tests for a benevolent God to implement, though.

Whe you say "no faith" do you mean that a person does not believe in God's existence, or that he or she believes God exists but feels God does not care. As an example, we may not have faith that it will snow this winter, but we know that snow exists.

I tried to imply both, but I did not want this ballot to become a referendum on whether or not there is a God, so I used the word IF, to hopefully get feed back from everone including those who in fact are not believers...

Voted : I will feel betrayed
Indeed I would feel betrayed for if God is truly a great being he should be willing to forgive me for not worshiping him when I was alive;after all God is suppose to be the greatest intelligence ever and therefore how could such an enlightened being damn another creature forever simple because that other creature did not worship him?Don't you think God is beyond the need for praise and glory?

Voted : I would feel betrayed by myself
I would feel betrayed by myself. All my life, I have been my own worst enemy. This would be no different.

Irrelevant question... I get on with my life in a generally quite moral fashion & don't waste my time belabouring myself (and other people !!) with "what if?" scenarios about supreme beings and flying spaghetti monsters.

Besides which: if there is a god, and he's an all-round good egg like the one in the fishermen's fairy story, he'd forgive me – wouldn't he?

Voted : I really don't know
I believe that there is some kind of higher power, but I know that never be sure on what that is, because it's beyond my understanding. If I did NOT have faith in God (which isn't true of me if you call the higher power God), well, there are way too many variables there, I'm not sure how I should answer this question.
