Voted : Hypocrisy is the most divisive factor
Within hypocrisy lies many ills--intolerance, greed, envy, hate, deceit, and so on.
Voted : Nationality is the most divisive
Nationality, every war in one sense or another is fought over nationality.Men have been known to put race and religion aside inorder to fight for a nation that is was not their ancestral home.
Voted : Diversity is the most divisive factor
In a way, lowerclassbrats is right with this one. The reason for vast numbers of conflicts in human history was that one group of people was different from another. Whether that difference was religion, race, or nationality, what always played a part was the fact that humans, as a species, can be so different from each other that they treat each other not as brothers and sisters, but as strangers. And this xenophobia has been and is the reason for many varied conflicts. That said, when peoplpe work to bridge the gaps these natural differences form, it creates some of the most beatiful work humans are capable of. It works both ways.
I think greed and the quest for power are the most divisive things - people will use race and religion to cover up their real intent - to stay in power or to obtain power, and make sure they can keep it to themselves.
Voted : Human nature
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha, Manowar !!! You almost never see photographs of this absurd band in profile because they've all got massive noses. And that's true, that is. I think the most divisive factor in humanity is Human Nature. The other things are just manifestations of this.
