IS THIS AN EXAMPLE OF LIBERAL BIAS IN THE MEDIA?

Look at these headlines:

Reuters: The United States, the world’s biggest polluter, has pulled out, saying Kyoto is too expensive and wrongly omits developing nations.

AP: The United States is no longer bound by Kyoto, which the Bush administration rejected after taking office in 2001.

Now I'm sure all of you well informed B&W readers out there are thinking; that doesn't make any sense. The Kyoto treaty was unanimously denounced by the senate under the clinton administration, and was never put up to a formal ratification by the US congress. Hence, we were never members of kyoto, so we couldn't 'pull out of it' nor were we ever 'bound' by it's guidelines, and all this took place before bush took office so how could he be to blame?

Well I agree with you, that's the exact same thought I had.

So does these misleading headlines that both lie to make bush look bad represent liberal bias, or merely incompetence within the major media outlets with regards to fact checking?

Bias
Incompetence
Could be both

But I'm not ruling out incompetence as a mitigating factor.

Voted : Could be both
I'd say it's probably incompetence, but bias might've played a part.

If there were "liberal bias" in the media, we wouldn't have a Bush 43 in office.

Voted : Incompetence
There is no such thing as the liberal media. Never has been; never will be.
