I used to scoff at the idea of a neocon/Israel cabal. But I am slowly coming to think I fell under the the sway of a significant, persistent propaganda program that has been going on for years.

I was once a believer in the myth of Jimmy Carter being a good and decent man until I learned more about him. Let us look at Carter’s “credibility” on human rights.
Democratic Sen. Daniel Patrick Moynihan said of Carter in 1980, "Unable to distinguish between our friends and our enemies, he has essentially adopted our enemies' view of the world."
During Indonesia's December 1975 invasion of East Timor, Carter stepped up U.S. military aid (by about 80%) to the Jakarta regime as it committed genocide on Timorese civilians. By the time Carter left office - 200,000 people had been slaughtered.
He ignored pleas from Salvadoran archbishop Oscar Romero to stop sending arms and advisors to the junta who were massacring several hundred of peasant leaders, trade unionists, priests, human rights workers and other dissidents. Carter even continued to do this after Romero himself was assassinated while saying Mass - an act that ordered by a top Salvadoran general. One of his last acts as president was to approve a record level of arms transfers to the junta just weeks after Salvadoran troops raped and murdered four American churchwomen.
In May 1980, pro-democracy protestors seized the center of the South Korean city of Kwangju, challenging the U.S. backed dictatorship of Chun Doo Hwan. Carter ordered the release of South Korean troops under U.S. command at the request of the dictator in order for them to re-take the city for the regime, massacring thousands. Eisenhower when faced with a similar situation did the opposite.
He was a strong supporter of Philippine dictator Fernando Marcos, Pakistani General Zia al Huq, Saudi King Faud and others. He blocked human rights legislation initiated by then-Congressman Tom Harkin and others. He is a pal of Castro. He has praised the Ethiopian election process – the country whose leader - Meles Zenawi is a massive violator of human rights. He treated Haiti's military strongman, Lieutenant Raoul Cedras, with respect and called him “a man of honor”. In June 1978, President Jimmy Carter sent a private letter to the Nicaraguan dictator Anastasio Somoza lauding Somoza for the "human rights initiatives". Carter also supported brutal dictators such as Ferdinand Marcos of the Philippines and the Shah of Iran. In El Salvador, his administration provided key military aid to this brutal regime. In Nicaragua, he backed dictator Anastasio Somoza almost until the end of his reign. In Guatemala, he also sent key U.S. military shipments to this brutal regime as well.
Carter hailed Tito as "a man who believes in human rights" and as one of his "best friends”. He said of Ceausescu and himself, "Our goals are the same: to have a just system of economics and politics . . . We believe in enhancing human rights." Since leaving office, Carter has praised Syria's late Hafez el Assad (one of his "favorite leaders," and the killer of at least 20,000 in Hama) and the Ethiopian tyrant Mengistu (killer of many more than that). Carter also praised the UAE as an “almost completely open and free society” – an unbelievable of a rigidly authoritarian country, whose government handpicks a select group of citizens to vote, strictly controls the editorial content of the newspapers and where Islamic Shari’a courts judge “sodomy” punishable by death. Of course, the UAE are big supporters of his foundation.
He toasted the Shah’s Iran as “an island of stability in one of the more troubled areas of the world… to the respect, admiration and love which your people give to you.”
After the people of the African country then known as Zaire rebelled against their brutal and corrupt dictator Mobutu Sese Seko, Carter had the U.S. air force fly in Moroccan troops to help crush the popular uprising and save the regime. He also dramatically increased military aid to the Moroccan government of King Hassan II, whose forces had invaded the nation of Western Sahara
He has described Israel's "persecution" of Palestinians was "ven worse ... than a place like Rwanda," Carter answered. Only 800,000 were RAPED and MURDERED by the Hutus in just 100 days - a rate faster than any previous or subsequent genocide in world history. During any comparable period, the number of Palestinian casualties has never exceeded a hundred.
He does a fine job of destroying his ill-deserved reputation. He needs no help whatsoever.
Your verboseness rarely evokes much acccuracy when sharing information LSD...Your obvious zeal, and relentless pursue to demean and disparage Mr. Carter in the name of Isreal is sad and without a doubt rather boring...
There is very little redeeming value and truth in what you choked up and spit above, you should be ashamed although being a supporter of that massive murdering machine (Israel)I will venture to say that you are not, your choice...You should someday be fortunate enough to possess a thimble amount of his character and good will. As long as you continue to be one sided on the matter of Palestine/Israel, you will never be free...You see LSD, I can admit that there is enough blame to go around, that goes for Bush, Bush's Croonies, The Leaders of Israel, The leaders of the Muslim radicals and all those who support the killing on all sides...
Say what you will about Mr. Carter, in the final analysis, you nor I will be the final judge of him, or anyone else and when we all are judged...We will not be judged by the biases, racism, sexism, and the bigotry of Man nor Woman, so, more for you, enjoy...

Carter is as corrupt as any leader. He is a hypocrite. Protests against his presence have occurred in many places including Ethiopia where he is despised by most of the population for praising the dictator Meles Zenawi. Obviously you want to look at him as some kind of wonderful person. He isn't. As far as massive murdering machines, you should look at East Timor where Carter aided and abetted genocide on a mass scale. His actions in Kwangju are deplorable. I have far more character and good will. I don't meet with brutal dictators and praise them as nice people supporting human rights. I'm not a buddy with Castro of Hugo Chavez.
Perhaps if you would develop beyond the level of a mental midget you would be able to look at the whole picture of Jimmy Carter instead of treating him as some kind of saint. Oh look, it is tea time with a brutal dictator!
