It's hard to pick one out of that list, because each plays it's role.
Like which do you value more: your heart or your lungs?
But I'd say leaders. Not specifically politicians, because most of them are simply place fillers, but actual leaders. The founding fathers and other such men.
They put in place the institutions that last long past their deaths and create the order, freedom and prosperity that allow all those others to perform their jobs.
Without a proper government no other group of people will be able to really make life better. North Korea has dedicated fire fighters and doctors, but it's still hell on earth because they lack proper leadership.

I think farmers and those who raise cattle so that we all have food to eat are the most useful people on the planet because they are the life blood of civilization.Sure you might say without police society would desend into chaos or without doctors we would all die of diease but the fact of the matter is without the farmer society would starve to death long before soceity could fall into chaos or succum to sickness.

I have a special affinity for these guys because, back in '95, they tried to save my comic-book collection. Didn't succeed, and the brigade cheif apologized to me profusely for not succeeding. Ever since, any firefighter I'm aware of in my vicinity gets lunch on me.

If you break a leg, will a guy that helps poor people fix it? If you got burnt alive, will a soldier heal you? NO, WHY ARE THEY THE MOST FUCKING VOTED ONES?!
ya know all those other countries on the planet? Without a military no country can survive. In truth the only reason there is still english spoken in the world is because the US had the good sense to have a military.

I would not choose any of these. I'd choose a teacher. Everybody has to be taught something. We learned most of the stuff we do in life from teachers. Doctors, figherfighters, police officers, media personnel all have to be taught. So teachers are the most useful.
It doesn't matter who the most useful people are now because eventually they will be replaced by robots. Then the most useful people will be those who manufacture or maintain the robots, at least until the robots become self-perpetuating.
