A Californian skunk is causing a stink in Canada after hitching a 3,000-mile, five-day lift locked in the back of a truck. Now, airline and trucking firms are refusing to carry it back to its hometown in case it causes an even bigger stink en route...the skunk, who survived a seven-day journey across the United States and into Canada without food and water, after being accidentally locked away in a transport truck, is having a hard time finding someone to give her a ride home...(excerpts from Reuters news service)...who has some free time on their hands...to get PePe ? TORONTO (Reuters) - A stowaway skunk that ended up in Canada after traveling more than 2,200 miles shut in the back of a truck from California has found a ride home."We do have a confirmed ride now back to California," said Nathalie Karvonen, executive director at the Toronto Wildlife Center, which has been caring for the skunk since January 5. "There is a host of a radio show in California and (the) producer who are actually taking time off work." The brave pair -- whose names weren't immediately known on Wednesday -- will rendezvous with center officials just across the U.S. border in either Buffalo or Detroit, where the handover of the female skunk will take place, Karvonen said.
I will keep you posted on the whereabouts of the little stinker until he gets back home...
