I just downloaded series 1-8 in one file, and have watched every episode over the last week. Ive basicaly just takeen a crash course in south park (when I should be revising!)

Though Randy Marsh is pretty funny too in a subtle satirical way. He was hilarious in the Bloody Mary episode.

I think "Butters" is the funniest thing on the show: he's an equal measure of pathetic pathos and often dry one-liners and quips. Runner up is Cartman, and the absolutely most hilarious shows in the entire series are the Butters v. Cartman/Cartman v. Butters episodes. I think Parker and Stone said that dynamic's their favorite of all of the "South Park" characters. I start chuckling the second I think of shows like "Casa Bonita" or "AWESOM-O" or "The Death of Eric Cartman."
