I believe that according to Christianity, Judaism and Islam (all of which believe in demons and angels) - their God and his heavenly angels follow a strong philosophy that humans should have free will, and therefore it would not be in their nature to take part in any possessions.
Same reason that the Left Behind series focuses on the sinners who are "left behind" on earth, not the pious, overbearing bastards who go to heaven.
There's no reason for an angel to posses a human.
Further, it is more so the purging of the demonic spirit that we hear about e.g. exorcism. Who wants to purge an angelic presence from somebody?

Possession is an evil deed and only the fallen ANGELS utilize it for influence and interference.
I personally don't believe in this sort of thing, but if it were possible, I think demons could have a hell of a lot of fun (Hell is fun? Hell, I'm there. LOL) with practicle jokes rather then the sterotypical wretching and puddling on the floor.
If this is a sign of possession, I think my cat is possessed. LOL
It'd be funny for a demon to possess a football player and score a touchdown for the opposing team in the last seconds of the superbowl.

Voted : Angelic possessions happen, people just tend to notice the bad things more.
This kind of possession means unasked for invasion with evil intent. Angels of God don't do that. But I am sure demonic possession could very well done by dark angels.
