i've given up trying to figure it out. great ballots sometimes get no attention while others that are less than interesting get loads. a fickle bunch i'd say.

Dont you just hate the YuGIOh ballot?
If you have a steady diet of current social problems or situations many people prefer not to want to deal with them...maybe some people are trying to escape the reality surrounding them for a while...some ballots may make people feel they are confessing or divulging info they would rather not reveal...
many things you can't be said here, well they can but it's usually ignored.
To me silence means disapproval, but that could just be how I rationalize why my ballots are not getting any comments or votes. 
^Your ballots are very good Larrynelmira, i dont think silence means disapproval in your case.
One strange thing i noticed is that sometimes there is a great disparity of votes between ballots that are almost identical (if not the same). I think people opt to vote or ignore them based on authorship.
