Our 5 year old is Autistic, and i was wondering if other people put their autistic kids on medication or not?

Voted : I don't think Meds are a good idea
He looks full of mischeif lol. I personally disagree with medicating a child unless its a life threatening illness. My son has learned far more by not being surpressed on drugs, however, it does all depend on the child.

Friends of ours have an autictic boy and moved to Alberta because of their highly recommended autistic programs. I don't believe they put their boy on any meds. Have you been able to find a good program for your boy?

Thanks you guys! Yeah he is a doll, and yes you can hug him forever, he loves hugs, infact they say the anti-socialism is the one trait he didn't get.

I just found out that he actually is autistic, but we've known since he was 3 and he has 3 evaluations in march, so we'll see what happens!

I don't think i will put him on medications, i was wondering if anyone does and if they work, because i just don't trust drugs with kids but then i really don't know if they would work 102
