SO I CALLED THE COPS ON MY NEIGHBOR LAST NIGHT...

So I called the cops on my neighbor last night. I went out after dark to check my mail-box and I caught my idiot neighbor shooting at my cats with a pellet gun. You would have thought it was my own child with the way I reacted, yelling at him saying "what's wrong with you" and "why did you do that?" He just shrugged his shoulders and "so what, they're just stray cats." I told him that the reason they are strays is because of people like him who abuse animals and then throw them out. I informed him that those stray cats are my cats and that I take care of them and I also told him that it's against the law to abuse animals. He said it wasn't against the law and for me to call the cops on him if I wanted to. So I did.

It must have been a slow night for police calls, because they were here in like 5 minutes. In the meantime, the neighbor gets on his motorcycle trying to start it so that he can leave before the cops show up and his stupid bike wouldn't start! Haha! So the cops had a talk with him and the next time he's caught doing something like that he will have to appear in court.

oh I hope he gets 10 years hard time.

There was a guy in San Jose who, after a traffic altercation with a woman, got out of his car, went up to her car, pulled her beloved lap poodle out of the car and threw her into traffic.

He got away, but after the extensive media coverage, he got caught. I think he is serving some hard lengthy jail time. Good thing too, if he was let go at the court house, he would probably have been lynched to death .

I'll be spending more time outside in the evening watching this guy. I'm going to make sure he gets arrested soon.
I've called the Humane Society and they don't have room for these cats. They already have 150 cats. I've asked everyone I know to adopt these three cats and have even offered to pay for the cats being spayed or neutered. It's not possible for me to bring them inside since I already have two cats and my daughter has allergies. They're beautiful sweet cats and I baby them the best I can.

And tell the guy has an assault rifle, he's stalking around pointing it at passing cars, houses and at nieghborhood pets.

This way the cops came in numbers, armed to the hilt and arrest him before asking questions. LOL

The same thing happened to my nieghbor, though I don't like the guy, I didn't do the cop call.

There was a story in the news a couple of years ago about an old man who heard intruders inside his home. He phoned up the police and told them that he was being robbed, and they said that they would be there in half an hour! So he phones back a minute later and told the operator that there was no need for the police to come out, as he had just killed the thieves. The police were at his house in two minutes, finding the intruders alive and healthy.

There was a case of animal cruelty just recently where two kids tied a cat to a truck and let their dog kill it. They filmed it and put it on myspace. I doubt they were arrested because they were interviewed after the fact and were actually laughing about it saying they thought it was funny. They could get up to two years in jail.

People like that have a serious problem.

Great story. In answer to your question, I'm not sure how I would have reacted since the only furry animal I ever had as a pet was a rat. It's cool how your situation played out.

Those pellet guns can really sting. I have a pretty solid one and it'll break the skin.
