Ah isn't this sweet a love letter ballot from cranky to herzog,it almost brought a tear to my eye.Does the constant bickering keep the romance alive cranky?
And you're trying to tell me that these choices are *better* than herzog's? You're both engaged in a petty and useless conflict. I suggest letting it go. But hey, that's just me.

Surely the aim of a ballot site is to let people with different opinions on subjects voice them. Herzog holds to a certain set of beliefs, you (Cranky) to another. If eveybody on BestandWorst held the same views about everything, it would be awfully boring.
As for Herzog being a coward I disagree. I am quite new to this site and have seen no evidence of this. If people disagree with his ideas or principles they can simply tell him in the comments box.
^Yes, but isn't condemning someone in a ballot, without once mentioning his/her name, while making certain, through various "hints," that everyone knows who it is, a bit weenieish?
For example, in ballot 111865, herzog writes:
"IF A PARTICULAR USER USES THE SAME ATTACKS OVER AND OVER AGAIN,"
Note the use of the word "attacks" and the phrase "over and over again." "Attacks" makes herzog look like a victim, while "over and over again" implies he's being stalked. And that's just the title of the ballot.
"let's say this user refers to anyone she dislikes as a "race-baiter"
Note the designation has gone from the genderless "particular user" to "she," which is significant since there are so few females on B&W.
"(this is purely hypothetical),"
That's an out-and-out lie since the ballot is directed specifically at another B&W user.
Then note herzog's ballot entries:
"Yes, it is fair to ask for an explanation"
Heroic herzog is only asking for an explanation of why he's a racist. What could be fairer? Herzog's the good guy.
"No, those attacks are meant to be vague and without any clear definition"
So if this "hypothetical person" doesn't comply with herzog's manipulation then herzog's a victim and she's an aggressive stalker purposefully spinning her arguments. Once again, herzog's the good guy.
Then, in a comment, herzog writes "She also has not been blocked from my ballots (she did block my from hers)," which assists even more in identifying her, as all you need to do is go to herzog's user page and see who is ignoring him. But remember folks, it's just a hypothetical situation. LOL.
I guess my point is, wouldn't a real man just come out and confront the person, rather than use this spinsterish back biting?

A sign of a self loathing, unconfident individual who fears confrontation because they're unable to qualify their position with facts.
This is a generic psychological assessment not directed at anyone peticular (Herzog).
And though Herzog might have racist ideals or characteristics, I think he's alright.
Cranky, Why do you dislike him so much? Even if he is or has racist qualities, doesn't he deserve the same respect and consideration for his opinion as everyone else?
I couldn't in good conscience select one of your two choices Cranky. I do think Wah, Wah and character assassinatin ballots are cowardly, though now I'm a damn hypocrit, thank you very much.

In my almost nine years of online life, I've noticed the recurring pattern of people feeling free to attack, attack, attack under the Ultimate Cover of Anonymity, a user name attached to a not-always-detectable ISP in a world where said ISP can be masked through a free online surf site. It'll probably always be a fact of human life, as long as the 'Net exists in any form. Doesn't make it any fairer. Back when I hosted a chatrooom in Uncle Bill's Universe, I had a user who was an avowed racist, reveled in referring to me as "our esteemed n*gger host", and hosed threats and insults to all in the room. I happened to learn that said fine, upstanding citizen lived less than an hour southeast of me, so I asked him if he knew where a certain amjor mall in Atlanta was. When he said yes, I offered to meet him and discuss things with him openly. Seems he *didn't* know that we were so near to one another. Though he did agree to the meet, he ditched on me. The next night, I offered to meet him in Macon. Again, a no-show. Talk is cheap, as long as no one knows where you're doing the talking *from*...

I still don't get how he could be "smearing other B&W users behind their back" when he made the ballot out in the open for everybody to see. It's not like he was talking privately and you somehow found out about it.
Another thing. He may manipulate the ballot choices, but at least he makes it so that you can add more suitable choices for your particular point of view.

He smeared another user on ballot 111865 but wasn't man enough to mention her name, and confront her directly. To me, that's cowardice.
Trying to create a lynch mob atmosphere towards this user, as this ballot was also trying to do, isn't very manly, either.
And he did NOT allow additional choices to be added to that ballot.

You don't know what you are taking about DD, she is RACIST, bottom line. Now, you have the choice to disagree with that fact, I know a RACIST when I smell one.
As for my and others allegedly looking badly for stating the facts in the matter, I consider the source who would dare make and believe such a ridiculous assertion.
Herzog is a RACIST, period and if you do not find the mistruths and misinformation, the rabid dog searches with great zeal/zest of negative and disparaging information regarding people of color, adding her RACIST spin as well, (intentionally mind you, I would certainly be shocked to learn that she is unknowingly making such outlandish comments) offensive regarding people of color then I can only extract one thing from that, you too feel and believe the same and if so, your choice.
However, I will not ignore her RACIST comments for the sake that others here may perceive me as looking badly.
Herzog is a boil on the arse of society festering with hatred and I will continue to mop up the slime everytime she spew such RACIST rants out that sewer hole of hers.
