IS IT FAIR TO ASSUME THIS PERSON IS A RACIST?

If a person has a long history of engaging in racist behavior, is it fair then to describe that person as a racist? Or despite his long history of racist behavior, do you have to prove, every time you mention his obvious racism, that he's a racist?

For example, is it fair to assume that the Klansman in the picture is a racist?

Yes, once it's obvious he's a racist, you shouldn't have to continually prove it
No, you should have to prove, each time, that an obvious racist is a racist
The facts are there for those to see it and for those who chose to ignore it...

I believe that when labelling a person as a racist, it is necessary to at least once provide evidence to prove such a case. So one probably shouldn't have to 'continually' prove it. Yet, it would be expected and necessary to prove it at least once. In other words, there is no 'continually' proving something, if it has not even been proven with solid evidence an initial time.

You two must be madly in love. One ballot results in a counter-ballot and so on. Take kev24 up on his idea. razz

I would suggest that it has been proven of the man in the picture by a long history of his actions and associations, although some of associates would, I'm sure, deny it.

cranky- My comment was not in answer to your ballot question. I was generalising overall about accusations over racism. So it was a bit of a tangent and not a direct answer to the ballot question. However, I'm sure you of all people, in order to be consistent, will not complain about my not answering the ballot question and instead generalising and going of on a tangent?

^No, suit yourself.

I'm not one of the B&W tightasses, who think that every ballot, comment, and ballot choice should be censored to meet the propaganda needs of the ballot maker. Heaven forbid that a ballot maker should ever have to see anything that contradicts his prejudices. LOL.
