It's hard to say. I've heard so many things from so many different sources, I have to say that I havent seen 100% proof either way.
I wouldn't be surprised if he's dead. If he's alive, he's probably not in the desert anywhere. With his condition, and with his money, there's the likely hood that he's being taken care of very well right now somewhere.

alive or not doesn't really matter. The west have built him up so much into this bogeymen figure, all that matters now is the ideology he symbolises, which is a greater threat than the man ever was.

Hard to say but he's probably dead. Much more should have been done to catch him while "he was still alive". Now he's a myth and his ideology transcends his corporeal existence.

People who insist, Know, that he's dead are the same people who laugh at other conspiracy theorists, that's what I've seen anyway.
I lean toward "I don't know" but I'm picking Yes because it seems like if he'd been killed the word would get to more people.
