I vaguely remember seeing a couple weird shows involving cars around 1981 or so, I think they were on PBS.
One of them seemed to be about driving fast or something, and it had bizarre imagery in it. One of the scenes showed a car driving at normal speeds through a city, then it gradually sped up faster and faster and as it did so, the voices and other sounds in the background gradually sped up along with it.
Another scene in that same show showed the interior same car progressing along a stretch of road with black background/white-lettered speed limit signs that started at 5 mph and increased by increments of 5 mph until they got to 125mph or something like that, with the car speeding up to the posted speeds as it went along.
Any ideas of what it was? Sound familiar to anyone?
I was only about 5 years old so I don't remember too many details. I remember the first show being really cool and bizarre though, I'd love to know what it was called.
