Prior to that, however it was used to refer to things kept hidden, like dark secrets from the past. ie "skeletons in the closet" etc Have you ever used the term to refer to a behavior or proclivity to something OTHER than homosexuality? Nope, I pretty much use it exclusively in reference to Homosexuality.
