During the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan in the 80's, the U.S. was openly supplying the Mujahideen insurgents in Afghanistan. Should that have been reason enough for Soviet Russia to have invaded the United States?

Yes, the Soviets should have invaded
No, the Soviets didn't have justification

COMMENTS:
Yes, and America should have invaded China for supporting North Vietnam. What you can do morally and should do aren't always the same thing.

sure. should the usa have invaded france too, since french weapons and military parts were being shipped to iraq even during the un sanctioned boycott? and what about the usa invading russia when they supplied the communist insurgents in genada with weapons or when they supplied the communist rebels in nicaragua?

shoule the allies of ww2 have invaded paraguay since they gave safe haven to nazis toward the end of the war? argentina too for that matter.

I'm not sure I follow the "logic" cranky is using.

I'll agree with kev but I will add a couple. The US should have invaded or bombed the crap out of China and the Soviet Union for their role in supplying the enemy in the Korean conflict and Vietnam. In circumstances where it is possible to take out someone supplying the enemy, of course you should. You do however, have to weigh the benefit against the risk.
