Hérouxville's town council adopted a code of societal norms that would-be immigrant newcomers would have to follow.

The declaration, passed by the town council last month, says a person's face should not be covered, except at Halloween, and that children should sing Christmas songs in December.

It warns would-be immigrants that women can vote, drive and dance if they choose.

Should the citizens in this Quebec town have the right to do this?

Isnt that an infringement of the civil rights of the immigrants, who, unimportantly, dont believe in civil rights themselves for minority groups?

Isn't this the town that has one immigrant family? It seems unnecessary to me, and done to directly slander that one immigrant family, and scare away any future potential immigrant family's.
