By the way these same dogs are like the cat in the picture, they run into peoples dirt bikes nearly killing them, it's just unsafe as well as the factthat they might bite.
Voted : Ask people to watch their pets closer???
And carry an axe handle, in case those folks don't comply.
Yeah i'm seriously to the point where, like this weekend, if we go we're going ALONE. They act like "watch your kid" but i'm tired of only watching MY child when their stupid dogs can run wild
Voted : get away from people
Go further into the wildnerness. Find campsites that are not so close to other people. That has got to be annoying. I am not too cool with dogs around my kiddo either.
Well, it's not a bad idea for someone to watch their child whether there are dogs around or not. There's things out there that can hurt him alot more than a dog can. Which might be why they carry their dog. I'm not familiar with the place you go camping at. But if someone has an unfriendly dog, the least they can do is respect other people there and either not bring him or at least be more responsible in keeping an eye on him. Maybe putting a muzzle on them even? And cats? Who brings cats camping?

My child is always watched! But he should be able to run around and play with the other kids and not worry about getting bit by a dog! No Grumpy i meant cats other places too not just camping and depending on how long ppl/we've taken our cat with us camping...but our cat is declawed and indoors only so he stays in the trailer, he's a big fat lazy beast of a cat he just lays around, i only take him out on a leash but he really doesn't move much so... I can't get away from people when i go with them, well some of the time but the bonfire, everyone is at, all our friends so i can't just go off, but i may have to do that until my son realizes animals aren't all friends, but i'm just gonna tell them all next time we go if their dog bites my kid i'm gonna to kill it! I hope they understand, lol
Yeah, if he's prone to biting kids, he doesn't need to be brought around kids. I still say carry a muzzle with you next time and maybe they'll get the picture. I use to carry my dog with me camping, but he was very kid friendly. They'd even ask before hand if I was going to bring my dog, because they liked playing with him. I think they really took a liking to him after the creepy uncle of an ex boyfriend showed up at the campsite one time with a few too many beers in him. The guy got about 10 feet from where the kids were playing and I had to run and restrain the dog because I thought he was going to jump all over that guy. I did have to tie him up though when we went swimming. He loved the water and would get in it and try to play with people, which is very dangerous.

That picture is hilarious.
Grumpy the muzzle thing is a good idea!
Glad you guys like that pic too, i got a kick out of that one
Frankly, most dogs are a pain. but there are some I like. Cats are considerably cooler, but you gotta know how to handle a cat, and when the cat says 'I'm going down, now' ..you put the cat down, coz cats have 20 vicious curved needles that say "I'M the boss, here!"
Aplmac i love cats too, i don't trust dogs at all, you just never really know when they're going to take a bite out of you! Cats are smart (i love my cat) and i'd rather my son be scratched then mauled by a dog
"coz cats have 20 vicious curved needles that say "I'M the boss, here!"" 18, actually.
Well...who's counting when they're clawing your eyes out, hehe
