He explained to me that it was an early Sumerian tablet that was in a collection of an egyptologist who brought it into the country earlier in the last century. Should individuals own antiquities of another nation, thousands of years old, which might be valuable to the scientific community of the world? Or is it "finder's keepers" and it's okay to trade, if it's done when it was "legal" to do so. no collector's should own historical artifacts finders keepers : he paid for it, fair and square, legal and everything.
