STOLEN ANTIQUITIES AS COLLECTOR'S ITEM: SHOULD IT BE CONFISCATED?

COMMENTS:
Voted : finders keepers : he paid for it, fair and square, legal and everything.
Maybe if it is or was made against the law, as it probaly should be, the stuff that was legally paid for up to a certain date should remain in the individual's collection. But anything discovered or whatever after that date has to remain the property of that country. Then again, just like illegal drugs are a huge gigantic black market industry, maybe that would happen with artifacts if it was to be made illegal to own any of them. People would still get their hands on them, and maybe at the cost of too many human lives. At first, I was going to select the first choice, but I talked myself into the second choice.
Hope it wasn't one of those excellent fakes!
