There are many marriages which fail and the spouse which brought far less monetarily) into the relationship seems to angle to get far more than seems reasonable (IMO) or what could in many cases be more than most people would need in a lifetime...should there be a cap on liability across the board so prenupt agreements are not needed, people tend not to think straight when they are smitten...

Yes, there should be limits

No, the spouse should not have to change their standard of living
