What?? No, how could Britain do that? And besides, then the US and Canada would have to follow suit for slavery (yes, Canada had slavery, but we eneded it sooner). And you can't blame all the problems of the world on Britain. How could the country afford to pay 31 trillion dollars? What is this? A sick joke? Hey, Britain did a lot of bad things to my ancestors, but even I don't think that Britain should be forced to pay. what is this? Is Steven nuts?

Only if the rest of the world can pay us back for the benefits the industrial revolution has it/them. Which would be a lot more than 31 trillion dollars methinks.

We invented football, the TV, and Kiera Knightley, so we should be forgiven. Seriously, they can take their 'crime reparations' and shove it where the sun doesn't shine, the twats. And if they are gonna make us pay reperations they could at least make us pay in pounds, not dollars, its such an undignified currency. ;)

Sounds like a bad joke.

Who exactly would they reparate for global warming? Everyone on Earth? O.o
Voted : No.
Abosolutely not to blame England for starting global warming is like blaming the Romans for violent entertainment.Sometimes looking to the past only makes our current problems worst.

Why should people have to suffer just because they were born in Britain? Anyway most people now that were born in Britain are descendants from other nations.

Reparations are a slippery slope.

For all their years of persecution as a people,a minority in foreign lands, scapegoated for their success and religeon. They produced all those great minds yet the world always blames it on the English...that antiangloism is alive and well today just makes me want to lobby Washington to invade some sovereign nation.
Should Italy pay rape-a-nations for Roman crimes of empire? How about New York being that they are the Empire State after all.
Voted : No.
On so many levels, no. I presume you're reffering to that new book thats coming out. if rumopurs are to be believed it is so historically inaccurate its almost a joke. I also object to the idea that the 'English' should pay as if the Scots, Irish and Welsh had nothing to do with the Empire, something I think that is encouraged by the pathetic bigots at the SNP.
