I think a military strike on Iran by the USA, or anyone else, would be disastrous
Voted : No -Military action would not stop Iran from developing nuclear weapons
Though it's effective if the key targets are located and disabled. It doesn't stop them but it can slow them up. That is "IF" the key targets are located.

With Cheney/Bush in charge it would probably be a total screw-up. They wouldn't get the job done. Iran would work even more furiously on getting nukes, and they would have an obvious argument for getting nukes: to defend themselves from attacks by the U.S. If attacks were undertaken by a competent government, it might work.
Voted : Yes - Military action would stop Iran from developing nuclear weapons
Properly done; sure. More likely to produce results than appeasement negotiations a la Hitler and Chamberlain. Iran has no intention of stopping. For them agreeing to negotiations is just a way to stall the rest of the world until they complete building one. Think tanks are worthless is most cases and especially when dealing with a bunch or religious madmen.
Voted : Yes - Military action would stop Iran from developing nuclear weapons
Although I'd change it from "would" to "could." Yes, I think it's possible that military action could stop Iran from developing weapons, if done properly. That said, I don't think a military strike is anywhere near the best idea if there are other options.
