SHOULD ADULTERY BE ILLEGAL?

Jealousy is the number one motive for murder. If adultery were illegal spouses who cheated could be punished and the partners they hurt would have legal recourse and may reject murder as their only option. I personally oppose this idea, but I wanted to submit it for public opinion. I don't think it's any accident that if these laws are in place the punishment is always excessively harsh. The military has laws that punishes adulterers quite severely. In the middle east you can be put to death for it.

But I do think it should be a deciding factor when working out custody of children in that the non cheating parent should be the parent with custody.

Sometimes it can be a blessing. I almost married a cheating slut.

I have a feeling that all people who cheat on their significant other eventually get what they deserve.

The government is not suppose to mix in peoples sex lives. If it ever did, porn would also eventually become illegal... who's to say that masturbation wouldn't follow?

NO we're wasting time on illegal things, when we need to wory about the things that are already out there haunting us like children asleep on the railroad tracks or that fuckstick that just got out of his "6 months jail serve" for raping a 9 year old.

I say spend tax dollars keeping in the real criminals!

NO, i mean some people cheat for many reasons, it would be silly to waste more jail space on cheating spouses that can go to councelling and get help and continue a loving relationship :)

The family is the cornerstone of society. Adultery causes violent crime, spreads disease, and wrecks families and lives. People should know what they are risking in doing so, until then there should be laws to protect people.

Here's the solution. If no one gets married, then there can't possibly be any adultery. Ban marriage!
