I hear people saying entertainers are role models and they should behave as such on and off the stage, do you believe that to be the case?

I’m not a celebrity worshiper, if I like their acting or other talent I’ll pay to see or hear, but I don’t’ expect them to live their personal life for me, it’s sad of course if they overdose, or end up in trouble of some sort, but it’s their life.

Do you think they are role models and should be behave as such, or do they have the right to live their personal life as they please?

More and more of the time these days, the celebrities are just ordinary people thrust into the limelight with neither talent nor the necessary nous and preparation for what is often very sudden fame. So you can't expect them to be role models. They're just people. Often very vulnerable people. It's sad really.

The industry who makes those people "stars" and tells us what to "pay" attention to is more to blame, they have much more power than most people realize.

Voted : They should be allowed more freedom than they get.
Part of the reason they overdose and become addicts is because people won't let them have a life of their own. Now, some people will say that they gave up that right, but why are celebrities any less human than anybody else.

Celebrities should use their money to establish a separate country, where they may come and go as they please, and live without the fear of paparazzi (because freedom of the press would be one of the first things to go.) This way, they would have a place to retreat to when the paparazzi are being d**ks, and maybe they wouldn't feel like they need drugs to escape...
