Breastfeeding is GREAT. It's the best thing to give your new born trust me! Not to mention your bond is tighter, you don't have to hold up bottles, just get a boppy pillow that wraps around you and sit at your computer with the baby on your boob...lol
I did that, my last one breast fed for 10 months!
It is in no way cuntservative, if anything it's liberal! Shoot even hippies always breast fed! It is NATURAL!

Oh and not to mention mothers milk is made for babies, cows milk found in formula is made for baby cows and can give your baby really bad gas, colic, weight gain, white pimples on their face, bottle drippings can cause ear infections, and babies can become lactose intollerant!

I don't have a problem with it either, what could be more natural, and why is it okay for us to see tits of women in some remote African tribe but not okay to see yours for example lady?

Funny, I never heard any myths about breastfeeding. In fact, where I live people strong advice moms to breastfeed their babies because it's a way to develop a bond. Also, women who breastfeed are less likely to suffer from breast cancer.
So what myths are those?

I'm utterly amazed at how many people go rabid about women breastfeeding. Bugger those Victorian twits, I say!
in nature, animals that are not breastfed within the first 24 hours die - the mother's milk has antibodies that the baby need to ward off infections.
I can't imagine it's any different for the human animals.

no probs. I breastfed my son until he was 6 months old. I plan on doing it with this baby as well...
I always used to cover up with a blanket over my shoulder, I am WAY to shy to just pop it out.
It is so cool that so many ppl here are supportive of breastfeeding! :)
oops...seamus, I heard from ladies that your breasts sag if you do breastfeed. Which is so crazy because there are girls who are in their teens dealing with saggyness before they even bear children. That is in the genes lol...
Also that you will get less sleep... as if every new mother/father gets any sleep in the first year anyways.

Regarding the myths:
You get sleep because you can lay the baby next to you cuddling and feeding instead of holding a bottle up.
As for saggy breasts, that is untrue because your breasts lose elasticity either way due to the enlargement (stretching of the skin) when the milk fills up. So either way it stretches the skin making is saggier.

it's good for your babe, and for you too. some people just get all worked up over the sight of a boob - they need to get over it.
It helps build your child's immunity and helps your body to regain it's pre-pregnancy condition sooner - something about the stimulation of the breasts and uterine contractions ( i forget the details - it's been a while......)
Some states (including New Jersey) have laws that allow breast feeding in public.
Everybody supports breatfeeding. It's natural and healthy for the child.
However, most people DON'T support OVERTLY PUBLIC breastfeeding. That is what people complain about.
Whether you like it or not, the bare breast, in whatever situation, has sexual implications!
That is REALITY! It's not going to go away.
So in CONSIDERATION of other people's sensitivities, women should cover up when breast feeding in PUBLIC!
Just like sucking face in public makes people feel uncomfortable, breast feeding does TOO.
This militant "I have a right to breast feed wherever I want" is selfish and inconsiderate of others.
