DO YOU ABUSE YOUR COMPUTER?

Violent acts against computers have become such a problem that behavioural psychologists have branded this digital vandalism as "network rage." Eighty-three per cent of network managers surveyed reported abusive and often violent behaviour by users as a result of computer problems. Acts of wanton violence resulted in shattered monitors, smashed keyboards and kicked-in hard drives.

I do, I get so frustrated at times, I slam the keyboard, verbally insult the hard drive, and actually thought of throwing it out the window.

DO you also have this violent behaviour toward your PC?

If we are not allowed to post links feel free to delete this, but it's a hilarious relevant video. Mind you, I put a few extra spaces in the address.

Why punish the computer for a problem with gremlins. You know, those little saboteers that launch covert attacks on your most vulnerable, least accessible mechanisms.
When something isn't working right, replace it. Older components are not only outdated but manufactures engineer the damn things for a minimal performance life so you require a new upgrade/ replacement every few years.

It worked miracles with my ex wife and I haven't had a problem with new component since. lol

A little regular cleaning and a system maintenence routine is the best protection to extend the warranted life of the product, prevent those unwanted labor panges and expensive PC doctors.

Alternatively, I think it could be called Anger Management.

A friend of mine referred to this phenomenon as "technorage", which I think sums things up pretty well.

^When the 'effin machine doesn't work, the safest, most convenient and 'non-destructive' outlet is to smash the machine into little pieces.

Yes but only my mouse because it does not work right anymore.

I slam it a few times and it works right for another couple hours before I have to beat it again.
