Not necessarily. They may be referring to undeserved insults, which presumably they feel you have directed at them. Now that you may have insulted them they may feel that its no holds barred from this point on.
Regardless of what your teachers tell you at school, it DOES matter who started it.
Calling some an asshole is not necessarily hypercritical. Calling one an asshole while being an asshole might be.

You can curse and call people assholes as much as you want just don't insult their culture or beliefs. Thats what I was referring to and I was only speaking the truth when I called you an asshole. People I see insulting someone cause they believe in a certain religion or they're a certain race or are foreign I consider to be assholes. Hey I'm not going to insult you cause you believe in the theory of evolution but your still an asshole. I know I don't have a right to tell you what to do (unless your really naive) but I'm just telling you that maybe you got to lay it off and cut down on the religion jokes. Your probably still not going to listen to me and I don't even know if this ballot was directed to the message I sent you not long ago, it may or may not be but I just feel that it is. I can't tell you what to do so do whatever you want but you'll always be an asshole if you continue to just be one like you are.
I might have insulted your beliefs in evolution few days ago but that was only cause I was fed up with you insulting other's beliefs. Either way I'm sorry that I did. Your still an asshole though.
Warden, religion is a joke as far as I'm concerned. Worshipping an ancient sky-fairy makes you fair game for ridicule.
The point is I don't think ridicule is unacceptable even if it is aimed at me.
Just for the record - evolution is scientific fact based on 150 years worth of evidence. Religion is faith in spite of the evidence.
You know what? I'm not going to waste my time debating about this topic with you. Theres nothing you can do to change my beliefs. It's over and I don't want to listen to you any further so do whatever the hell you want I really don't care anymore because anyone who's part of a religion knows better than to listen to some prejudice asshole such as yourself. I got some info and know a few sites where you can compare and contrast the similarities and differences between evolution and creation but I really just don't care so I'm not going to bother about it anymore.

Evolution is a phenomenon occurring right now. It is a scientific fact explained (at present) by Neo-Darwinian biological theory. This is the product of 150 years of scientific endeavour, research, prediction, validation and experimentation. So far, not one piece of evidence contradicts the theory of evolution by natural selection (Darwinism).
Creation is a mythical, oral tradition passed on from truly ancient non-scientific cultures.
If you prefer to believe religion over science then if one of your family gets cancer or some other terminal disease - don't bother with that old scientific medicine and treatment. Just pray and see how far that gets you.
