Because the fact is that interstellar space travel is a generational venture.
A race of beings would take such a journey with the sole intention of making open permanent contact with another planet with a similar biosphere, and it would most definitely be a one-way voyage.
There are probably no wormholes, black holes, or other space/time anomalies that exist outside the human imagination to assist in interstellar travel. This brings us to the lonely conclusion that we may never be visited by an extraterrestrial race unless we ourselves branch out and stake our claim to our little corner of the galaxy. Do you agree?

Watching videos of the Disclosure Project conference where government officals, pilots, and astronauts testified to some of the most unbelieveable things imaginable, I'd say visitation is a large possibility.

They are after all "alien". Which means their technology would be alien too.

However, If someone could prove to me conlusively that we were alone in the universe, I seriously think I would spiral into depression and perhaps an early death.

I need to believe that we arent alone in the universe, or everything seems so dark and pointless, and lonely.

Minus the V-word crap. A(And drop ten bucks in the swear jar, for using that word in polite company.) I don't believe that we're as far away from practical applications of wormholes for space travel as you might think. Besides, if we're it, then we're screwed.
