I came from a family of huggers. Are hugs overrated? Does the world need more, or less hugs? Nothing sexual, just to say, "hey, if nobody else tells you today, I care about you." If you need a hug, consider yourself... HUGGED!

My family wasn't too huggy. They were both professionals--my Mom was the IBM black suit type (think of Lilith from Cheers, but not as cold). My Dad was in an ochestra, rehearsed for hours every day, or was sleeping, and wore a tux to work every evening. Not much opportunity for snuggling. Most attention I got from my parents was not positive. As a result, I'm not "lots-of-hug-experienced". I'd like to try some, though, to see if I could get used to them. I'm holding my arms open right now.
