I thought it was already "Mission Accomplished". What else do we need to be there for but to protect Halliburton's interests and Israel's security?
Pandering to his constituency?

Every military tactician has been saying the same thing for years: Times have changed. In WWI and WWII and before that, victory was a successful invasion and occupation. How did Bush and Co. forget the lesson that you can be victorious in invading another country and defeating their military and government...but the problem is in the occupation! No nation can be occupied in this day and age. The key is to have a concrete plan for invasion and in setting up a stable government to take root and govern. They did not plan for that. They planned only as far as the conquering and failed to prepare for changing the Iraqi government effectively. The reason why there is so much push-back with Iraq is because we ALL know it was all based on a lie. Plain and simple. Had Iraq been the threat Bush and his war criminal administration said it was, an overwhelming majority of people would be supporting victory at all costs. Why should we for Iraq? Why should anyone? Just because?? Should we support total victory at all costs just to make Joe Lieberman and Bush feel better about themselves? No. We did win. We invaded and conqured. The fact we are not winning the occupation was expected, but not planned for. That's their problem (meaning Bush and Co.)
