He was riding unbuckled in the front passenger seat when his SUV, driven by a state trooper at 91 mph, was clipped by a truck and slammed into a guard rail near Atlantic City. The state trooper was not only driving well above the speed limit, at 91 mph, but also allowed a passenger in his vehicle to violate the law by riding in the vehicle without being buckled up. Should the state trooper be fired? Was it his responsibility to make sure that everyone in the vehicle was buckled in?
