COMMENTS:
Voted : May 15th boycott
This would effect the industry as a whole. To make it really effective, people could boycott gasoline every month on the 15th.

Voted : Don't drive your car or truck
Myself, I'll either take the bus or stare at my walls.

When everyone boycotts for one day, guess what will happen the next day? Those that boycotted (along with those that didn't) will be in line at the pumps the very next day. And that's not counting those who planned ahead and stocked up on gas the day before the boycott. So for all practical purposes, oil companies wont see a decrease in sales. In past boycots some have actually saw increases due to the people stocking up before hand. Yeah, those one day boycotts are real smart...

You want to really protest, either drastically cut back on your driving, quit buying from the big name companies, or boycott for longer than a week.

these one day boycott is such a joke.

if people want to effect real change, stop these silly little scheme, and do some real effective protest.

line up your suv in front of Exxon, and set it on fire.

let out the air of every Suburban (lol) you see on the road.

but seriously, only way to stop people from buying petrol is to raise prices to a point where it's uneconomical. Tack on a $10 gal tax, and subsidize 50mpg+ cars, so that they cost $5000 each.

watch Cheney and friends go to the poorhouse.

Apparently, gasoline isn't very expensive at all. Otherwise, there wouldn't be so many of us driving around in super-sized SUVs and monster pick-up trucks. And anyone who owns one of these gas-guzzling vehicles and complains about high gas prices is a god-damned hypocrite.

I'm going to participate in the May 15th boycott, but I'm also going to boycott Exxon & Mobil until their prices start coming down.
I don't own a gas-guzzler and shame on those of you who do!

oh get over it you lazy bastards..nobody's screwing anybody..it's simple ecomomics..but if you really want to make a statement, go out to the local Marina and torch a few Luxury Yachts..anything over 30 Feet/Length gets < one mile to the gallon..

Voted : force the local bus service to supply more routes so it is convenient to ride.
That is for larger cities such as mine and where the bus service is lousy and corrupt and weak budget planners.
When is the Sierra Club coming to investigate their waste?
