Detroit always elects crazy mayors, when my family first moved here we saw this idiot ranting on the news like a maniac and swearing like crazy, my mom's like "Who is this idiot?" My dad says "That's the mayor." "That's the MAYOR?!" Coleman Young was the mayor at the time, he was worse than Kilpatrick. Detroiters elected Coleman not once, not twice, not three times, not four times, not five times, but SIX DAMN TIMES. Yes, Detroit is an extremely angry city.

Coleman Young was absolute scum of the earth, something along the lines of an insane African dictator. The voters in Detroit couldn't get enough of him. He could have been mayor for life, but he finally decided to retire, leaving Detroit as the biggest sinkhole in the U.S. If he'd stayed another few terms, he could have brought Detroit down to the level of Lagos, Nigeria.
