The best solution? EVERYONE needs to always remember it's just a website. It's fine the way it is. It's the users who cause the problems. People just need to calm down and bear in mind...it's just a website.
I wish I can get motivated to work on the site more. it's hard to get myself in front of the computer with a creative mood, for various reasons.

There is nothing wrong with this site, I have not come across another site like it...
I have to agree with Patch, WE (yes, I will include myself, only when provoked of cause, however, childish none the less) users sometimes go overboard with the childish antics...
Some users may abuse the karma system on occasion, however, that behavior has nothing to do with what is right or wrong about the site...
Nuckinfutz... I suppose you don't remember that hot n steamy night in Louisianna.. how the heck did you end up fathering a chick older than you?!?!?! ;)

Base the selection of maintainers/moderators on good merit and not their karma rating.
If there's nothing wrong with the site, why are there no new users? Lack of moderation will bring a site faster down than anything. And as much as anyone hates moderators, they're needed to keep things from turning into a playground. Which does keep alot of serious posters away.
Like I've said before, it's not that some can't take the heat when the childish crap and name calling start flowing, it's that some prefer not to participate in such antics.
But if a free-for-all atmosphere is one of the goals for this site, then what I said means nothing.
You will also notice that there are a few people who do nothing but create ballots that are solely meant to insult. These are the problem people on here. All of their comments and ballots are rude and pointless and their sole purpose is to annoy, insult and create controversy. I think of them as the antagonists that just won't go away. Most of them are very QUIRKY and they're just mean, self-hating, spiteful and bitter, unhappy people. 99 times out of 100, they're just horrible people who are probably unloved and rejected. Quirky.
Fix the ballots and comments lists so that you can go back more than one page.
