COMMENTS:
Yep, I agree, but ya just get sick of puttin' them right all the time.
but instead of constructive comments that can lead to a solution to the issue, the real bigotted hypocrits step up and scream 'RACISM!! RACISM!!", because jappy, they're not part of a solution -- they are a big part of the problem. out of their own biggoted mouth comes racist comments about white people (especially white males) and anti-christian comments and bigoted homophobic comments. but oh no -- everyone else is a racist and they're the enlightened ones. i'm a liberal and i can tell you, they are not representative of true liberalism. a few of them are just mean, arrogat and bitter screamers who are so totally blinded by rage, they don't see their own racism and hatred. it would be funny if it weren't so sad. they're self-appointed great thinkers -- but in reality, that's just them deluding themselves.
i see it sort of like this -- enlightened self-appointed liberal -- "you're a racist pig!" victim of false accusation -- "no i'm not. i challenge you to provide evidence of these false and derogotory accusations." when no evidence is presented enlightened self-appointed liberal (in a rage) --- "shut up you filthy gay christian white scum! i'm an enlightened liberal so all i have to do is make the accusation and people will believe me." seriously, that's sort of how the exchanges go.
A religion isn't a race, so maybe it's an analogy of some sort. There's more than one sort of stereotype. I don't think all Muslims are bad people, although they do have some problems.
Shit! I've just walked blindly into the middle of a B&W feud, haven't I? *Steps backwards toward the door*
Oh no, this hasn't opened up, there are 3 or 4 users who will take huge offense to this ballot, because it will force them to think about what they have done. If they are smart they'll avoid it like the plague :D
I agree with your ballot, Jappy. Good point. I also feel about the same as britvic. You can try and put them right, but some will only see what they want to see and ignore anything else. And some will just about die before they admit that someone with an opposing view was right. So I just let them be for the most part. Let their yes-men agree with them and let the people with common sense laugh at the hypocracy.
Voted : How strange, the issue seems to have been clouded somewhat...
1) Most people who abuse Muslims on this website are actually using the word Muslim in place of "Arab" or "dark skinned foreigner". 2) ALL forms of religion are nonsensical but it's much more pertinent to point out the absurdities of Christianity to a predominantly Christian user base. As a former Christian I have much more experience with that particular brand of pathetic Iron-age mythology and so will aim my sights there. I want to be really clear - Muslims, Jews, Christians and whoever else are all badly educated, brainwashed or insane.
Religion is an adopted belief, not an unchangeable feature of someones genetics, and as such should be criticised without accusations of racism. And at the moment, Islam is causing far more evil in the world than any other religion has for centuries, so it receives the most negative attention.
P.s agree with your comment WHOK, though as mentioned I believe most criticism should go to the religion causing the most problems, which for the last couple of decades has surely been Islam. Christianity is a religion in its twilight years, and generally doesnt produce such violent fanatacism in its victims as its younger, far eastern cousin.
Religion or race, say what you will. I know it's not P.C. to stereotype, but a lot of those people are ƒu¢king nuts!
WHOK, people on this site bash Christianity too, should we instead refrain, because we're really talking about some "white, blond or light-skinned person"

2) ALL forms of religion are nonsensical but it's much more pertinent to point out the absurdities of Christianity to a predominantly Christian user base. -------------------- That's an interesting concept, except for one rather glaring problem: One particular religion has far and away more 'absurdities' going on than any other religion on the planet. Let me give you one hint. That religion is NOT Christianity.
"That's an interesting concept, except for one rather glaring problem...." You've missed my point.
Oh really? Well how convenient that in your reply you have no point to make.
Well the point was in the original comment. I'll explain it to you seeing as mummy and daddy appear to be busy. 1)I don't have any experience of being a practicing Muslim and therefore I'm inclined NOT to talk too much about something I don't have much experience with. I was a practicing Christian for many years. 2) Most of the people on B&W (if they have a religion) appear to be Christian. It makes more sense to talk to Christians about the flaws in Christianity first and foremost. Pointing out flaws in a rival religion before examining your own is reather hypocritical but then I expect nothing less from someone prepared to kill another human being in the name of peace. Excuse me while I go vomit.
Believing that the flaws in christianity are anywhere NEAR as glaring and dangerous as the flaws in islam is a study in total ignorance. It's just another bleeding hear belief that you can balance anything out on the basis of equality, christians who picket abortion clinics are just as bad as the muslim who boards a bus full of children wearing a suicide vest and blows the kids up, according to your viewpoint, widehead.
"bleeding heart"
I'm not trying to make an argument here about moral equivalency, Jappy. The fact is that religion is the very thing that allows us to put a nice and easy label on our 'enemies'. Why do we parade 'faith' around like it is a really excellent quality? Faith, that is belief in something absurd in the face of all the evidence, is what drives some people to make some pretty disgusting decisions with regards to their fellow human beings. If we can eradicate the evils of religious faith from ourselves and our own citizens we will be in a much stronger position when it comes to telling other people what to do. Faith is what drives religiously motivated murderers whoever their chosen sky-fairy turns out to be. Religious faith is the root of all evil.
