Just look at their ridiculous profits.
Everytime OPEC raise their prices the oil companies raise them by the same amount, rather than absorbing any of the shock themselves, thus passing the price increase in its entirety onto the consumers. Sadly, petrol is fairly price inelastic, and subsequently people will keep buying petrol whatever its price.

I'm driving to portugal soon and its 1700 miles. thats not too far in american terms but the fuel will cost around 400(gb pounds). thats about $250 i think. Odd how american prices stay so low really.
But I'll tell you sure as shit it's not the oil companies.
