I went to my senior prom last week, its just a dance , I had a great time, why you guys against it?

I had fun at my prom! Got to dress up, hang out with my friends and stay out all night. What high school kid wouldn't like that?

Based solely on what I was told. I blew off my senior prom, aprtially because I'm a socially-challenged spazz, aprtially because I didn't believe that one of the three hottest women in shcoool was serious in asking me to be her date. As I've said before, men are stuppid. Truth is no different.

It's good to get together with the school buddies and associates in a non learning enviroment for fun...before everyone goes their separate ways

It depends on your date, the other kids, and your definition of fun.
I went to a few proms and I had a good time. But looking back, they do seem a bit silly. They're almost identical to a traditional wedding reception. You've got your tuxedos and gowns (and now I hear they're using limos), assigned seating at big round tables, rubbery tasing chicken, a dance floor, and a lousy and/or tacky band.

Why else go to such a lame event, run by the biggest suck ups and douche bags in the entire school? Bostonian was dead on the mark.
It's all about the post-prom debauchery.

It was just another excuse to get laid for me. I read a statistic once that said most teenagers lose their virginity on prom night. I say keep it going.
