Ummm, which conservatives are you addressing this ballot towards exactly?

Last time I checked the few conservatives left on this site had been driven off by the hysterical libigot brigade.
by kingAlfredTheGreat on Tue May 29, 07 12:31pm [+]

Not all Conservatives are of the religious right types who wish to impose their values on everyone.Personally I don't feel that it is the gov place to try to enforce morality.
by Corrupt on Tue May 29, 07 12:45pm [+]

in all honesty,
"libigot" was clearly a whine the first time it was said and it's only gotten more pathetic with each repeat.

Here's the definition of bigot: "a person who is utterly intolerant of any differing creed, belief, or opinion."
Can you even conceive of the reverse bigotry required to call peace-loving tree-huggers "bigots"?
It's obvious who carries the pure Hate in that fight.

But don't let me stop you from saying it (as if anything could ;) keep it up, it's funnier every time!
by Jyl on Tue May 29, 07 2:58pm [+]

Ha ha !!

KingAlf, you just got owned by a girl.
by ramaDUNG on Tue May 29, 07 3:07pm [+]

"The definition of bigot: 'a person who is utterly intolerant of any differing creed, belief, or opinion.'"

Yes, that definition suits many of my old Marxist Occidentalist professors at college, who never met a conservative, fiscal or social, whom they didn't instantly despise and try to ostracize from the local academic community. They had all the charm and toleration of a secular Spanish Inquisition and were just as fanatical towards enforcing leftist ideological orthodoxy.

Oh, and RobinGaywad, you are a truly and utterly thick individual, if you can't discern that a fiscal conservative couldn't give a rat's ass as to whether gays go out and enter into matrimony or not, as opposed to the religious right. Oh, and as far as fiscal conservatives being responsible for all of the crime, that hardly jives with the mass increases in federal law enforcement spending over the past 20 years. Well, it wouldn't if any actual fiscal conservatives had been running the country...but they weren't.

Agreed. I've encountered quite a share of the same (though not extreme enough to be considered "Maxist") throughout my time. People who could not see past their own set-in-stone ideologies long enough to realize that they themselves were imposing the very same kind of fascist "I know what's best and you don't" attitudes that they preach against.
by Grumpy_Person on Tue May 29, 07 11:17pm [+]

Jyl

Thats maybe the second time I have ever used that word, and it seemed wholly appropriate in this case.

Herzog was driven off the site by a number of fanatical lefties on the site, specifically because of his unpopular Republican views. Thats the very definition of bigotted.

However, the least I can do is applaud you for making what at least APPEARED (if nothing else) to be an intelligible point. A significant improvement on your previous behaviour i.e. make a sarchastic, pretentious, non-sensical comment that pisses everyone off and then scutter off back to your hole to congratulate yourself.

Signs of improvement indeed.

by kingAlfredTheGreat on Wed May 30, 07 2:08am [+]

Oh,and "reverse bigotry" would, logically, equate to no bigotry whatsoever i.e. complete tolerance and unjudging of difference.

So nice try, but you dont quite have the mental wattage to be arguing over semantics. You might want to stick to the pointless sarchasm thats become your trademark for the time being.

But again, top marks for effort!

Good ballot, Robin.
by mojo on Wed May 30, 07 8:29am [+]

A couple of paragraphs of name-calling and you're done with me?
I'm kinda disappointed.
by Jyl on Wed May 30, 07 10:00am [+]

Herzog wasn't driven off by a load of lefties, KAG.

In fairness, all that happened was that his *alias* was banned - well, boo hoo!! I wasn't exactly overjoyed when I lost my "DingleDUNG" alias & had to start all over again, but I didn't get all precious about it & sulk about it.

He should wash the sand out of his cunt, dry his tears & start again.

"A couple of paragraphs of name-calling and you're done with me?
I'm kinda disappointed."

I expect you are. You seem to thrive on causing aggravation, after all, whilst sitting back and trying your hardest to look innocent of any wrong doing, and really *surprised* that anyone could get so annoyed with a perosn as *nice* as you.

However, reciprocation is the name of the game. If you want me to insult you some more, feel free to take a poke at me. See if you can wake the beast.
by kingAlfredTheGreat on Wed May 30, 07 3:02pm [+]

just to let you know,
I've been careful to keep away from you and what I said up there wasn't directed so much at You as at that word a few users here have adopted from one of your most idiotic representatives.
If you take this conversation as a reason to let loose on me every chance you get then I guess there's no stopping it.. I will continue to stear clear of you.
If you have more to say to/about me please do it here (I'm learning from you really) so we won't have to carry on a namecalling war in ballot after ballot like other people are:

by Jyl on Wed May 30, 07 4:02pm [+]

"I've been careful to keep away from you"

Unecessary. All thats required is for you to lay off with the sarchastic and disdainful comments; but if thats your choice so be it.

Believe it or not, I realised the futility of flame wars a while back, and dont really have any desire to get into a war of words.
by kingAlfredTheGreat on Wed May 30, 07 7:18pm [+]

"lay off with the sarchastic(sic) and disdainful comments"

Anyone who looks at my comments (click my name, then "comments") can see that I said just a couple things a day lately and it was usually after the discussion was over. I'm sorry if making myself laugh hurts anyone's feelings but I really didn't know I've had *your attention for so long.
I can't promise to change, this is who I am honestly, but I'll remember that you're reading every word.
by Jyl on Wed May 30, 07 9:49pm [+]

^ There you go again, you just cant help yourself can you?

Take a look over your last 10 or so of your comments and see if you notice a pattern. A good starting point would be to count the amount of times you call people "kids" or lololol at everyone whos commented on the ballot with an opinion you dont like.

If. after doing that, you STILL dont see why I callyour comments disdainful and sarchastic, then I fear there is no helping you.

by kingAlfredTheGreat on Sat Jun 02, 07 3:45pm [+]

excuse me, king Alf.

I let out the truth finally about "libigot", stated what anyone with half a brain knows about the term, I did not fight with anything else you've said or with you personally.

You followed that with paragraph after paragraph of insults to me which you seem to've pent up for some time.
Then you try calling this discussion a flame war.. hoping I'll go away?
Look at what you've said about me.
And it wasn't YOU I was fighting with, if someone else had used the word I would have had to finally tell THEM what a meaningless word it is too.
I repeat, I have stayed away from you in the past and I will continue to. Even after you let out all your feelings for me here.
by Jyl on Sat Jun 02, 07 7:58pm [+]

"If. after doing that, you STILL dont see why I callyour comments disdainful and sarchastic, then I fear there is no helping you."

I see exactly why you call my comments disdainful and sarcastic. I'm sorry if you thought I didn't understand that part but NEWSFLASH, I'm sarcastic and talk down to some people, especially when they've gone nuts fighting and insulting people.

Anything else you think I can't understand about you..? Let's clear this up.
by Jyl on Sat Jun 02, 07 8:03pm [+]

"NEWSFLASH, I'm sarcastic and talk down to some people"

Why do you say that like its no big deal? Its not a nice way to be.

Heaven knows Im no saint, but if I have a problem with someone I come out and say it, like now.

And please, dont insult me by being disingenous...

"But don't let me stop YOU from saying it (as if anything could ;) keep it up, it's funnier every time!"

That was clearly directed at me. The most annoying thing being that, like I said, that is maybe the second time I have ever used that word.
by kingAlfredTheGreat on Sat Jun 02, 07 10:12pm [+]

"if I have a problem with someone I come out and say it," you sure do, you've said a lot. I see you've had a problem with me for quite a while.

This is the most time I've spent at B&W in months. I've learned not to waste time arguing with some people.. and what has our conversation achieved? You got a lot off your chest? You think it's shown me something I didn't know, changed how I think of certain people?

Let me "scatter off" back to my hole, I will not however congratulate myself for talking with you.
