Her jail sentence was fair, but I don't cheer for her getting raped or for her imprisonment, I just think that it's unfortunate that it had to come to this because of her selfishness and recklessness. This mob mentality that some people have really sickens me.
the reason why people are cheering is that her sentence WASN'T fair.
she gets to spend couple of weeks in a cell by her self treated with kid gloves?
anybody else in the same situation would be looking at 6 month in hard time, probably GETTING raped.

I don't have any sympathy for her, but I certainly wouldn't wish rape on even the most evil person in the world.
I knew people were schmucks, but I didn't know that most people are that sadistic. So much for the human race.
Its not really sadistic its more a knee jerk anger reaction fostered in part by the media frenzy surrounding it. There will always be a hard core bunch of nuts who will allow their anger to be led by the words of others. This suits the media too.
No good for paris hilton but lets face facts, she got off ar to lightly and thats not exactly fair either.
Is it much different to people in the cinema cheering when a group of innocent islamic bystanders were mown down with machine gun fire?
Cant remember the name of the film but it was recorded for socialogical purposes ane the (mainly) american crowd cheered even tho the film hadnt explained what was happeneing and why these people were being shot. (I suspect that the same reaction would be similar in the UK but id like to imagine otherwise)

People hate Paris because they see her as a spoiled brat and take pleasure in her humiliation.That being said this was just a joke and nobody really wants Paris to get raped,if Connan would have said beaten up or something else they would have also cheered.

I wouldn't encourage or wish that upon anybody no matter how vapid they are.
With that said, it's about time she tried to keep her legs together for three weeks straight.
