No. Why? Personally, I question why anyone would dismiss inheritence as if the person inheriting was lazy or something. If a family works hard and achieves a certain amount of wealth, say by building a company from scratch, it's own logical that the company and the acquired wealth stay in the family. Why shouldn't it? Very often with family wealth or with a family built and run corporation, many family members are involved with it anyway, either as employees, on the Board, etc. So no, I would not give it away.

I'd give *most* of it away, and hang onto a chunk to secure myself financially.

No but I would keep working and use the money to reach my goals which includes a lot of stuff to help out the environment and animals.
Like I have said before unless I am forced to I will never retire because if you're alive you should always be getting stuff done.
