No, I was not aware of that. I used to like Choose Your Own Adventure books.
The first I ever read was Lost Jewels of Nabooti and I read it from start to end which made no sense at all. Then I read a few others the proper way.

but I used to like those books, a couple I read were kinda scary, like creepy-scary, just how I like it :D
I wouldn't read them now though probably.. well maybe one.

Not that I'd buy them. I used to, back in the Stone Age, but I quickly bored of them.
Ever read Hyperspace Jyl? That one was crazy. Right after reading it, I became slightly disoriented and my surroundings seemed somewhat foriegn. There was never any other book that did that to me.
Maybe I DID read that one, because I remember how spooky the choose-your-own books were and it's been like a lifetime ago.

I actually own 143 of the titles from the old series from 1979-1998...got them on eBay.
The Curse of Batterslea Hall (#30) is my personal favorite.
