COMMENTS:
You have given black and white choices for two very complex issues. I cannot answer ballot set up this way. These issues aren't as simplistic as your choices are.

Mexico doesn't have a death penalty--it was abolished because Mexico claimed the death penalty was a violation of human rights. The reality is that Mexico doesn't need a death penalty because suspects and prisoners are routinely executed by municipal and federal law enforcement agencies. Screw up in a third world country that denounces the death penalty as inhumane and odds are you'll be tried and sentenced in the back of a squad car.

Actually, I'm pro-choice and on the fence regarding capital punishment. I'm no longer certain that capital punishment can do more than end one killer's reign of terror at a time.

Human error makes capital punishment problematic.
Voted : I'm conservative. I am pro-choice and for capital punishment.
I don't have a problem with either, although I think capital punishment should be reserved only for the most heinous crimes, where the evidence is much more than circumstantial, and the condemned has been allowed all appeals, no matter how long that takes. In other words, we're talking Seung-Hui Cho or Timothy McVeigh or Jeffrey Dahmer level, not some schmuck who shoots someone at a liquor store in a botched robbery.
That's assuming that Cho would've been found competent to stand trial...
I'm a moderate. I once believed I knew the right answer but the older I get the less sure I am.
