LEARNING ARABIC [+] ballot by larrynelmira ACTIVE Sun Jun 17, 07 - Sat Sep 15, 07 As promised in my speaking another language ballot, I’m making this one about my Arabic lessons Because I have so many on line friends from the Middle East I’ve been trying to learn Arabic, for me it’s a very hard , but I’m picking up some words. You may be thinking, “who gives a rats ass what language you are taking?”and in most cases you would be correct to think that, but it seems , many of my friends and few of my family members do give a rat’s ass, to the point of lecturing and begging me not to do it. It’s not as though I'm joining the Taliban, and it’s not as though I’m saying everyone who speaks Arabic is member of the Taliban, SO DON’T YOU EVEN GO THERE . I’m learning a language, because it’s the language of many friends, do you have a problem with that?
