"Stuff" is a non-count noun like air and water. You should say "...the stuff they teach is totally useless?"
they don't teach us stuff we will need most of the time.
Does school teach you how to see past a person's ugly exterior into a beautiful spirit? Does school teach you how to appreciate a rainbow without knowing how it works? Does school teach you how to connect with a person who is mentally disabled? No. What school does teach is how to spell long words, how to name as many countrys as you can, and how to add and subtract. I think the people who run the schools need a few lessons themselves.
