Gaia had many other gods as children (Uranus of the sky, Oceanus, the Titans and so on).
I think it's the Old English translation of Terra Mater (Mother Earth, a roman goddess). In languages like Italian and Portuguese, TErra is the name they use to denominate the planet earth.
It's named after Al Gore's concerts that he planned for July 7th.
