Angela Merkel, Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi for example, sometimes when a news story refers to one of those people , they comment on their clothes, Hillary was wearing a lovely blue pants suit, Miss Merkel had on a gaudy green dress and what not. I never hear comments like this about President Bush or Prime Minister Blair. Today I heard on the news that some people refer to Chancellor Merkel as a sex symbol, what does that mean, “sex symbol?” Are they saying she is the symbol of the female sex, I don’t really get the meaning in this context, if she is the symbol of the female sex, does that mean Tony Blair or George Bush is the symbol of the male sex? Would you not vote for Senator Clinton for example because you didn’t like her taste in pants suits? What the hell are some of these news outlets saying, what’s up with that, I don’t understand?
