I love this film. 'I'm the fucking daddy now.'

It's the only one on that list that I've seen. It was pretty good, but I have to be honest, I don't see how it differed all that much from a Hollywood movie. I couldn't tell the difference and would not have known there was a difference until you pointed it out. Movies in general are terrible, no matter where they are made.
I disagree. Alot of films can be entertaining and thought provoking, but there are less of them now then there used to be. Hollywood is pushing out films filled with CGI woder, but lacking in plot and storyline. For example, Pirates of the Carribean 3, amazing graphics, but where is the plot? I just wish that Hollywood would make more films like Lawrence of Arabia, or Mutiny on the Bounty. I'm all for the occasional Star Wars film or other CGI productions, just not so many of them. The British film industry is tiny, and in no way compares to America's. Thtat means that whenever a British film is released hear in the UK it is hailed as a success, even if it is dreadfully crap, which alot of them are. I dont know, they just dont make films like they used to, thats the point I suppose I am trying to make.

I enjoyed this one very much; it's probably the best movie adaptation of a novel that I know. Snatch is great for laughing your bum off.

Nothing like those old Pressburger-Powell movies, for me.
(standing ovation for winston's second comment)
Sorry, A Clockwork Orange fans but Stanley Kubrick is American.
^Yeah, but the actors, plot and everything else is brit. The constant gardner for example was directed by Fernando Meirelles...and your wouldnt say it's a brazilian flick, now would you?
^"What is the best film ever created by British film makers?"
Monty python and the holy grail! SO funny! :D
