Well my mother has kicked me out at times and I have ran away before but never more than a night at a time.

On three different occasions. THe first two as a direct result of my getting sick as a child (guilt, backl when I was Catholic, was intolerable at times), and I had to endure being shipped around among my mother's relatives. The third time was as a result of my mother being injured in an accident, and losing her job (she needed to be on her feet a lot for it). That one wasn't as bad, because we were able to keep the house we were living in, and family rallied around to keep us covered. Still, wouldn't recommend the experience for the psyche...

Just a few months while were were building our house, after I moved from my last place and after the hubby switched jobs. That probably doesn't count though because we were fortunate though and own the land it's on, so we just lived out of a tent and off the land for that time.

We did live out of our car and in the occasional motel on the road before that though.

I left home at the age of seventeen and lived in my car, friends and relatives floors and strange womens beds for about a year, lol.
